Position Overview
We are pleased to announce an opportunity for a Clinical Inpatient Supervisor to become a vital part of our Primary Care team at a correctional facility.
This facility accommodates individuals requiring moderate oversight and those reintegrating into society. It is a male institution with a significant capacity for inmates.
Work Schedule
The role primarily involves working Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend shifts.
Compensation
This is a full-time position offering an annual salary of up to £54,600 per annum FTE, commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities
As a Clinical Inpatient Supervisor, your duties will encompass:
- Innovating and implementing effective healthcare solutions within the correctional environment, ensuring continuity of care during critical transition periods for patients.
- Collaborating with external partners to create care pathways that minimize the need for external hospital visits, particularly for end-of-life and acute care situations.
- Assisting in the formulation of patient care plans and overseeing a team of healthcare professionals, ensuring they receive adequate support and performance evaluations.
- Functioning autonomously within your area of expertise while managing your workload and demonstrating problem-solving capabilities.

Required Qualifications
- Registered nurse (RGN/RMN) or Paramedic
- Current professional certification (NMC or HCPC)
- Evidence of ongoing professional development
- Understanding of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency collaboration
- A compassionate and non-judgmental approach
- Strong communication skills
- Familiarity with clinical governance, health and safety standards, and national guidelines
- Proficient IT skills and literacy
