About the Role
The Richmond Fellowship Scotland is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Complex Needs Practitioner to join our team at Todhill services in Stevenston. As a Complex Needs Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with Autism and associated complex learning disabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide full support with all aspects of daily life, including personal care, cooking, household tasks, and attending appointments.
- Use various communication tools to meet the individual's needs, including those with complex communication needs.
- Support individuals with anxiety and challenging behavior, using de-escalation techniques and positive communication strategies.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement personalized support plans.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in supporting individuals with Autism and learning disabilities.
Requirements
- No prior care experience is necessary, but a willingness to learn and develop skills is essential.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with individuals, families, and colleagues.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
