About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Radio Network Engineer to join our team at Arqiva. As a key member of our Smart Meter engineering environment, you will engage with stakeholders to define customer requirements and ensure solutions meet or exceed expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive the design and build activity, collaborating with internal and external contributors to ensure solutions meet customer requirements.
  • Analyse engineering problems related to RAN equipment and systems, developing solutions to provide full resolution.
  • Provide technical support to ensure customer radio networks meet agreed Service Level Agreements.
  • Develop and apply engineering standards and procedures, providing technical guidance to external and internal stakeholders.
  • Translate customer concept designs into detailed design, build, and test specifications that meet customers' requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's in Engineering or equivalent in Engineering, or relevant experience in radio network design and operations.
  • Track record of setting standards for design, development, and testing of bespoke and COTS software/hardware for Telecommunication Networks, IP Networks, Smart Metering, and IoT.
  • Experience in setting standards for processes and engineering practices related to area of expertise for platforms that support services.
  • Extensive experience working with suppliers, developing new services/capabilities and driving 3rd parties to resolve and fix functionality issues and errors.
  • Strong knowledge of technologies involved in Radio Networks, M2M Communications, Large data collection, processing, and management.
