Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Shop Manager to join our team at The Children's Society Shop in Teal Farm. As a key member of our shop management team, you will be responsible for assisting the Shop Manager in driving sales and profits, leading a team of staff and volunteers, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Shop Manager in developing and implementing sales strategies to increase revenue and profitability
- Lead a team of staff and volunteers to provide excellent customer service and achieve sales targets
- Manage shop operations, including stock management, visual merchandising, and cash handling
- Develop and maintain relationships with local community groups and organizations to promote the shop and its services
- Contribute to the development of the shop's marketing and promotional activities
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a retail management or sales role
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong customer service skills and a passion for delivering excellent customer experiences
- Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and bank holidays
