Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our client's team in Wrexham. As a key member of the manufacturing team, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across the site, ensuring the smooth operation of our production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out routine maintenance tasks, including inspections, repairs, and replacements of equipment and machinery.
  • Respond promptly and efficiently to breakdowns and emergencies, minimizing downtime and ensuring business continuity.
  • Conduct fault-finding investigations, using mechanical and electrical skills to identify and resolve issues.
  • Participate in project work, modifications, and plant installations, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver results.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, motors, and gearboxes, staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, and promoting a culture of safety and well-being.

Requirements:

  • Engineering qualifications or time-served experience in mechanical maintenance is essential.
  • Electrical qualifications or experience would be a valuable asset.
  • Motivated and flexible, with a willingness to work overtime and weekends as required.
  • Opportunity to train and develop within the company, with a focus on career growth and progression.
  • Understanding of health and safety practices and protocols.
  • Experience working with multi-axis CNC machinery would be a bonus, but not essential.
