About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team at Prysmian Group's production facility in Wrexham Industrial Estate. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for diagnosing, fault finding, and repairing medium/heavy industrial plant and machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair faults on industrial plant and machinery
  • Complete preventative maintenance checks and inspections
  • Develop and implement modifications to improve reliability of plant and machinery
  • Work collaboratively with manufacturing and maintenance colleagues
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management
  • Work to a continuous shift pattern with necessary overtime to cover holidays
  • Adhere to Health & Safety protocols with absolute priority
Requirements
  • Time served maintenance apprenticeship within manufacturing
  • Minimum 2 years experience working as a fitter/mechanical maintenance in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience of Hydraulic and Pneumatic's, Welding and Brazing, Rigging of unbalanced loads, Risk assessment and safety awareness, guarding of machinery legislation, High pressure steam maintenance
  • MS Office or equivalent, Ability to read technical drawings, Minimum of BTEC ONC level in Mechanical Engineering
