Position Overview

If you have a strong interest in sustainability and ESG practices and are eager to launch your career in this domain, we present a unique opportunity to apply your passion, skills, and knowledge effectively.

UTAC is in search of an Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) Graduate to assist in executing our sustainability strategy at the Group level. As part of our commitment to carbon reduction, we have assessed our corporate carbon footprint across Scope 1, 2, and 3, and established science-based carbon reduction objectives.

This position is ideal for an analytical, driven, and approachable individual who is enthusiastic about sustainability.

You will collaborate closely with the Group's ESG Manager, gaining valuable insights and experience.

The role, based at our distinguished location with the option for hybrid work, offers a diverse range of responsibilities and opportunities for professional growth. You will engage with a wide array of colleagues from various disciplines at the Group level, including members of the Executive team, Finance, HR, Facilities, Health and Safety, Environment, Procurement, Legal, IT, Audit and Compliance, Sales and Marketing, and Communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in coordinating and supporting sustainable reporting obligations, including climate data (Scope 1, 2, and 3), for stakeholders such as shareholders and regulators (CSRD), sustainability frameworks (CDP, Ecovadis), and customers.
  • Facilitate ESG meetings with relevant stakeholders.
  • Address ESG inquiries.
  • Collaborate with internal experts and the Sales and Marketing team to compile information and update the Supplier's Frequently Asked Questions on our ESG Hub.
  • Provide assistance on various ESG projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • A degree in a sustainability-related field.
  • Strong analytical, research, and communication skills.

Experience

Essential:

  • A demonstrated passion for ESG and/or sustainability, evidenced through education, work experience, or extracurricular activities.
  • Self-motivated and highly conscientious.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with sustainable reporting frameworks.
  • Knowledge of sustainable finance.
  • Understanding of carbon accounting and reduction targets.
  • Proficiency in French is a plus.
