About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Programme Development Manager to join our team at Ashby Jenkins Recruitment. As a specialist charity recruitment agency, we are committed to matching talented individuals with the most suitable roles in the not-for-profit sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and secure institutional and corporate grants to support new programmes
  • Develop and manage complex grant proposals, working closely with colleagues to ensure successful outcomes
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, from prospecting to proposal management and reporting
  • Stay up-to-date with key thematic areas, including women's economic empowerment, value chains, livelihoods, and enterprise acceleration
  • Work with clients in Eastern Africa, with a focus on Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zimbabwe, and potentially Afghanistan
Requirements
  • Proven experience in securing 6-7 figure, multi-year institutional and/or trusts and foundation grants
  • Excellent relationship management skills, with a strong track record of donor engagement
  • Strong understanding of development projects and the not-for-profit sector
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment, with flexible working options considered
What We Offer
  • A competitive salary of £40,000 - £45,000
  • A permanent, full-time contract
