Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide applicants with tailored guidance on the council's lettings scheme and procedure to maximize their sustainable housing options and rehousing prospects.
  • Offer support and assistance to applicants in navigating their housing applications and encourage them to make informed decisions about available housing options.
  • Assess complex cases to optimize rehousing prospects, involving collaboration with various professionals to ensure comprehensive information gathering.
  • Identify potential fraudulent applications and refer them to the Team Manager.
  • Work closely with Occupational Therapists and other healthcare professionals to provide the best possible advice to individuals requiring accessible homes.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with colleagues, members of the public, partner agencies, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in using various ICT systems.
  • Proven problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills, providing a high-quality service in a customer-focused environment.
  • Experience with complex casework, working with vulnerable households, and caseload management.
