Financial Assessment Officer

The Role
We are seeking an experienced Financial Assessment Visiting Officer to join our Adult Social Care team. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing timely and accurate financial assessments for customers to establish contributions to their care fees.
About the Role
The main purpose of this role is to:
- Complete financial assessments for customers to determine their care fees.
- Assist individuals in completing their financial assessment forms.
- Provide accurate benefits advice to enable individuals to maximise their income.
- Work closely with our Welfare Benefits Team, Brokerage and Social Work Teams, as well as Invoice and Billing and Debt Recovery staff.
- Identify and escalate any safeguarding concerns.
About You
You will have an excellent understanding of the Care Act and its implications for financial assessments. You will also have high-quality customer care and communication skills, as well as experience of dealing with a diverse group of customers.
We are looking for a good communicator with good numerical skills who can work as part of a busy team and independently. You will be able to manage your own caseload of work and work to deadlines.
