About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pricing Governance Lead to join our team at Vermelo RPO. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of pricing governance processes and controls to ensure fair outcomes for customers and reduce risk.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Governance Processes: Develop and implement effective and efficient governance processes and controls within the Pricing Team to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Set Quality Standards: Establish and maintain high standards of quality assurance processes and risk management within the team, ensuring all team members adhere to relevant policies.
  • Regulatory Expertise: Maintain extensive knowledge of regulations affecting pricing strategies and ensure that all pricing activities result in fair customer outcomes.
  • Pricing Governance Reporting: Ensure that pricing governance reporting is robust, timely, and accurate, providing valuable insights to stakeholders.
  • Recognized Expert: Establish yourself as a recognized pricing governance expert, providing guidance and support to the team.
  • Methodology Evaluation: Continuously evaluate and improve methodologies, ensuring that governance frameworks align with the organization's overall strategy.
  • Data Governance: Ensure that the utilization of new data is subject to adequate governance controls, maintaining the integrity of our pricing processes.
  • Commercial Awareness: Demonstrate a strong understanding of Markerstudy's strategy and commercial delivery, ensuring that pricing activities align with business objectives.
  • Process Management: Effectively manage processes that require inputs from multiple areas, ensuring seamless collaboration and communication.
Key Skills and Experience
  • Analytical Concepts: Possess a strong awareness of analytical concepts and their application in pricing governance.
  • Insurance Industry Experience: Have significant experience working in the insurance industry, with a deep understanding of regulatory requirements.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Possess extensive knowledge of regulations affecting pricing, including those related to customer protection.
  • Governance Controls: Proven experience in developing and implementing governance controls that protect customers and ensure compliance.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with applications used in the team, including Emblem, Radar, SAS, SQL, R, Python, and machine learning.
  • Business Acumen: A track record of using market-leading techniques to solve business problems, with a strong understanding of pricing and business strategies.
  • Communication Skills: Confidence in presenting technical and non-technical information to clients and colleagues, with the ability to communicate effectively at senior management level.
  • Leadership Experience: Experience in developing and/or managing others, with a strong understanding of leadership principles.
  • Pricing Strategies: Good understanding of pricing strategies and their application in the insurance industry.
