We are seeking a caring and passionate Support Worker to join our Residential Service for Adults with Complex Needs in Honiton, Devon. As part of our team, you will work closely with other local organisations and services to offer a wide range of activities, hobbies, and educational input to support the individuals in their daily lives.

The service is located in Honiton, Devon, and supports adults aged 18+. All communication is supported by British Sign Language and AAC devices. Further courses in BSL would be offered in line with current experience and qualifications.

The ideal candidate will have a caring nature and the ability to engage with the people they support. No experience is required, but some knowledge of BSL is essential. Drivers are also essential due to the location.

Responsibilities:

  • Encouraging independence and supporting individuals to make their own choices.
  • Ensuring the safety of the service users.
  • Following care plans for each individual.
  • Taking service users out into the community.
  • Participating in activities such as arts, crafts, gardening, and day trips.
  • Varying levels of personal care.

Requirements:

  • No experience is required.
  • Must have some knowledge of BSL.
  • Must be resilient.
  • Drivers are essential due to the location.
  • Candidates must be happy to do personal care.
