About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Systemic Family Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team in Barking and Dagenham Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS). As a Family Therapy Lead, you will play a key role in providing systemic interventions and assessments for children and young people with complex mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and delivery of high-quality specialist family therapy assessments and interventions.
  • Provide training, consultation, and supervision to colleagues on family therapy techniques and best practices.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care plans and treatment strategies for children and young people.
  • Conduct complex assessments and develop treatment plans for children and young people with significant mental health difficulties.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with other professionals and agencies to ensure seamless care coordination.
Requirements
  • Post-graduate qualification in systemic family therapy and registration with the UKCP.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in specialist psychological assessment and treatment of clients across various care settings.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, young people, and their families.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and support a team.
  • Knowledge of UK legislation and policies related to children's mental health and welfare.
