Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Leader Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a North Tyneside based school.

About the School:

The school caters for students aged 7-16 years who have social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH). Our school is committed to providing a high-quality education to help students reach their full potential and secure their future.

About the Role:

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who has a genuine passion for working with children and helping to improve their educational journey. The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a transferable role and be able to follow personalised curriculum's and care plans to meet pupil's requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in group settings, communicating effectively.
  • Participate in the planning and implementation of the child's curriculum through lesson planning.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other teams to create a holistic supportive environment for the pupil.
  • Set up lessons, equipment, and activities within the classrooms.
