Job Title: Learning Support Assistant - Specialist Education

Location: North Tyneside

Contract Type: Long term

Leader Education is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist education school in North Tyneside. The school caters to pupils with complex learning difficulties, including visual impairment, cerebral palsy, and Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC).

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in support work or with learning disabilities and be able to work effectively with parents, carers, and multidisciplinary teams. They will also possess communication skills tailored to suit students of different abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support children's care and learning as part of a team directed by the class teacher or therapist.
  • Have a fully enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
  • Work effectively with students, ensuring they are fully supported within their learning and general classroom activities.
