About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering digital transformation projects at FTSE100 companies using NodeJS and React.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a strong background in software engineering, with experience in frontend frameworks (React ecosystem) and a good understanding of backend architecture, scalability, and deployments. You will be an active learner, passionate about problem-solving, and enjoy working collaboratively with others.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop high-performance and scalable applications using NodeJS and React
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver digital transformation projects
  • Collaborate with senior developers to ensure high-quality code and adherence to best practices
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of our engineering processes
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in software engineering
Requirements
  • Strong experience in JavaScript, including asynchronous programming, closures, and ES6
  • Experience in databases (both relational and schemaless)
  • Strong focus on continuous integration and delivery
  • Strong focus on testing (experience with latest tooling)
  • Good understanding of design and implementation of RESTful web services
  • Familiarity with performance monitoring tools
  • Ability to debug production issues and maintain a cool head under pressure
