About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Business Partner to join our team at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in providing strategic and business planning advice to our Service Line and Care Group Management teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert financial guidance and support to Service Line and Care Group Management teams to inform business decisions and drive strategic planning.
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models and forecasts to predict income and expenditure, and identify areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Investigate and resolve complex financial queries and discrepancies, and provide high-quality analytical reviews of Service Line financial performance.
  • Collaborate with Service Line Management Teams to develop and implement plans to achieve performance targets and financial objectives.
  • Oversee the accuracy and integrity of Service Line financial information, including reference costs and service line reporting.
  • Benchmark Service Lines against national standards and peer data to identify areas for improvement and advise Service Line Management Teams on best practices.
Requirements
  • CCAB or equivalent Professional Qualified Accountant with current registration and relevant post-qualification experience.
  • Excellent level of numeracy and analytical skills, with the ability to deduce key points from complex data.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate Service Line Management Teams.
  • Demonstrable experience in financial management, accounting procedures, and NHS finance policies.
