Procurement Buyer Role

The Advocate Group is proud to partner with a renowned food business, a leading manufacturer of some of the UK's most beloved snacking brands. This exciting opportunity is ideal for a motivated individual with clear career goals, as the company offers a dynamic environment that fosters growth and development.

The Procurement Buyer will play a critical role in leading the procurement of all cocoa and chocolate across the UK and Ireland region. We are seeking a skilled professional with expertise in SRM (Supplier Relationship Management) and analytical skills to execute the materials strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and develop a robust supplier base, driving strategic relationships.
  • Focus on key strategic deliverables: cost reduction, cash flow optimization, supply continuity, sustainability, and innovation.
  • Own the sourcing strategy to ensure a secure supply chain across all materials.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with regional teams, including manufacturing sites, supply chain, and R&D partners.
Requirements:
  • Graduate qualification or proven experience in FMCG buying.
  • Previous experience in direct procurement.
  • Commercial analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to form strong working relationships.
Package:
  • Up to £45,000 (dependent on experience).
  • Hybrid working: 2 days per week working from home.
  • Discretionary 10% annual bonus.
  • Holidays: 25 days + bank holidays.
