About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Insurance Business Development Executive to join our team at Howden Insurance Brokers Ltd. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in the education sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prospect and secure new education partnerships with independent schools and other educational establishments.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing tailored solutions to meet their insurance needs.
  • Attend industry conferences and events to generate new leads and opportunities.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reporting to the Client Director.
  • Support the wider team in managing relationships with key partners and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Work closely with the Service and Renewals team to deliver a seamless new business customer experience.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling and introducing clients to other areas of our business.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in the insurance industry, preferably in a sales or business development role.
  • Strong understanding of general and legal principles of insurance, as well as relevant regulatory and legal frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative, with a customer-focused approach.
  • Computer literate and able to manage your own diary and workload effectively.
