Located within the beautifully restored Grade 1 Georgian Sherborne House, The Sherborne offers a multifunction art gallery and studio space, a state-of-the-art Pavilion for events, performances, and film, a restaurant, bar, shop, workspace, and a sculpture garden in a natural amphitheatre.

We are planning to add a community and educational facility to further enhance our offerings.

Job Summary

The Sherborne seeks a Chief Executive with extensive strategic leadership experience in arts or not-for-profit organizations, possessing deep knowledge of planning, business development, financial management, and team building.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to drive growth and success in arts and culture
  • Lead a team of professionals in planning, business development, and financial management
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including artists, donors, and community leaders
  • Oversee the development and implementation of marketing and communications strategies
  • Ensure the financial sustainability of the organization through effective fundraising and financial management
Requirements
  • Proven track record of success in strategic leadership roles in arts or not-for-profit organizations
  • Deep knowledge of planning, business development, financial management, and team building
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to leverage social media and digital technology to promote the organization's vision
