About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to serve as the Chief Executive of The Sherborne, a newly established arts destination venue in the UK. As the Chief Executive, you will be responsible for leading the strategic and operational vision of the organization, ensuring the commercial activities and fundraising efforts underpin the artistic and cultural programme within defined financial parameters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive five-year strategic business plan to drive growth and success
  • Lead the development and implementation of the artistic and cultural programme, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission and vision
  • Oversee the commercial activities, including fundraising, events, and revenue generation
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, sponsors, and partners
  • Lead and manage a team of professionals to achieve organizational goals and objectives

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in strategic leadership roles in arts or not-for-profit organizations
  • Deep knowledge of planning, business development, financial management, and team building
  • Proven success in fundraising and financial growth, with a track record of securing significant funding and resources
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Passion for art and a deep understanding of the cultural sector
