Position: Commissioning Engineer/SAP

Velocity Recruitment is seeking a talented Commissioning Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team dedicated to advancing renewable energy initiatives. In this role, you will be tasked with performing electrical assessments, diagnosing issues, and overseeing commissioning processes for renewable energy projects across the country.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct functional tests on relay and control systems.
  • Verify electrical schematics and perform continuity tests.
  • Execute primary and secondary testing and commissioning at substations.
  • Oversee testing and commissioning of transformers.
  • Perform switchgear testing in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
  • Conduct cable testing and troubleshoot faults.
  • Execute injection tests on relays to ensure protection functionalities.
  • Compile and prepare detailed reports on commissioning activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Relevant certifications in High Voltage testing and commissioning.
  • Experience with testing equipment, including Omicron CMC356.
  • Understanding of IT networks and PC configurations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematic diagrams.
