Renewable Energy Commissioning Specialist

Velocity Recruitment is seeking a proficient Commissioning Engineer to become part of our dedicated engineering team specializing in renewable energy projects. In the role of Commissioning Engineer/SAP, you will be tasked with performing electrical assessments, troubleshooting, and commissioning operations on various renewable energy initiatives across the country.

• Conduct functional checks on relay and control panels.
• Verify electrical schematics and perform continuity assessments.
• Engage in primary and secondary testing and commissioning of substations.
• Oversee the testing and commissioning of transformers.
• Execute switchgear testing in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
• Perform cable testing and fault diagnostics.
• Conduct injection tests on relays to ensure protection functionalities.
• Compile and prepare reports on commissioning activities.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Certifications in High Voltage testing and commissioning.
• Experience with testing instruments such as Omicron CMC356.
• Familiarity with IT networks and PC networking configurations.
• Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematic diagrams.
