Position Overview:
As a Lead Software Performance Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in the development and enhancement of software systems utilized in advanced simulation environments.

Location:
Remote/Hybrid options available

Compensation:
£44,000 - £49,000 (Dependent on expertise and experience)

Key Responsibilities:
1. Development of software solutions for high-fidelity simulation systems.
2. Ownership of project requirements, design specifications, implementation, system integration, and testing within established timelines.
3. Regular reporting on project status and providing constructive feedback to team members and management.
4. Creation of comprehensive technical documentation.
5. Design and integration of technical solutions, incorporating commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) hardware and software.
6. Collaborate with clients to support deployed systems and troubleshoot issues.
7. Technical oversight of project tasks.
8. Continuous improvement of development methodologies.
9. Identification and development of new business opportunities within the department and broader Test & Evaluation sector.

Required Qualifications:
Essential:
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics.
- Proficient programming skills in C/C++.
- Familiarity with configuration management tools.

Desirable:
- Knowledge of Linux operating systems.
- Experience in the avionics or mission systems domain.
- Proficient in using Jira for software task management.
- Understanding of Simulation Interoperability standards (HLA/DIS/Link16).
