Service Engineer - Mobile Maintenance Role

Our client, a leading engineering company, is seeking an experienced Service Engineer to join their team in West Yorkshire. As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance on large CNC machinery across the UK, providing technical support to customers, and assisting other team members as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out preventative maintenance on CNC machinery, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Provide technical support to customers, resolving issues and answering queries.
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve maintenance and repair tasks, sharing knowledge and expertise.
Requirements:
  • Relevant qualifications, such as an apprenticeship or degree, in a mechanical or engineering discipline.
  • Proven experience in maintenance engineering, field engineering, or a related field, with a focus on heavy engineering industry.
  • Familiarity with computer-controlled machinery (CNC) and experience in identifying mechanical faults and carrying out repairs.
  • Strong understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and computer-controlled machine operations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and build strong relationships with clients.
  • Desirable skills include experience with PLC and NC control systems, particularly Siemens.
