About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Decontamination Technician Team Leader to join our team at Ramsay Health Care UK Operations Limited.

As a Decontamination Technician Team Leader, you will be responsible for supervising a team in the Decontamination Department to ensure the team objectives are achieved.

Liaising with Apprentice/Trainee Decontamination Technicians, Decontamination Technicians and Decontamination Manager is also a key aspect of the role.

The successful candidate will have experience of Decontamination (Sterile Services and Endoscopy) process and procedure, good identification of surgical instrument knowledge, and proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Supervise a team in the Decontamination Department to ensure the team objectives are achieved.
  2. Liaising with Apprentice/Trainee Decontamination Technicians, Decontamination Technicians and Decontamination Manager.
  3. Participate in the provision of a specialised decontamination of medical devices service contributing to the clinical care of the patient.
  4. Perform a full range of decontamination duties.
  5. Manage Decontamination records in own area of work.
  6. Provide a high quality and timely service to all customers.
  7. Ensure Departmental Standard Operating Procedures are adhered to by all decontamination staff in accordance with Quality Management Systems.
  8. Plan your own workload and work with minimal supervision.
