About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Gastroenterologist to join our team at Leeds Teaching Hospitals, with a focus on nutrition and intestinal failure. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of our intestinal failure service, which is one of the largest in the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert clinical care to patients with complex nutritional needs and intestinal failure
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of our intestinal failure service, including the management of patients with Types I, II, and III intestinal failure
  • Participate in outpatient and endoscopy targets, and take part in general gastroenterology inpatient care
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide seamless, integrated care to patients
Requirements
  • MBBS MBChB or equivalent qualification
  • MRCP or equivalent qualification
  • Eligible for full registration with the GMC at time of appointment and hold a current licence to practice
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Experience in training endoscopic skills and participating in regular clinical audit
  • Strong commitment to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and research
