The Role
We are seeking a skilled MEP Project Manager to join our team delivering a new build super prison in Leicestershire. As an MEP Project Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining client relationships, managing our onsite M&E team, and coordinating with subcontractors and design consultants.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and lead the Lendlease Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) team or major trade package on site.
- Report to the Project Lead on functional matters and produce design reviews, method, and time-related information for tenders, construction, completion, and post-construction obligations.
- Review designs to ensure compliance with Employer's Requirements and Regulatory requirements.
- Assist the commercial team with value engineering opportunities, variations, and disputes.
- Coordinate with client representatives, design consultants, and subcontractors.
- Monitor and manage the design within the framework of a design and construct contract.
- Implement the design required to be installed by subcontractors through the construction phase.
- Review design, procurement, construction, and commissioning programs.
- Chair M&E design, construction, and completion meetings as necessary.
- Conduct onsite inspections for workmanship, compliance, and safety.
- Ensure quality is consistently high and proactively identify quality issues.
Requirements
- CSCS managers card holder.
- In-depth knowledge of the construction industry.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations, CDM, and ability to implement company safety policies.
- Recognize and reward safe behaviors and practices.
- Demonstrate strategic thinking and vision.
- Full understanding of building services, including design principles, construction techniques, commissioning, and handover requirements.
- Effective communication and cooperation with subcontractors, consultants, and team members.
- Ability to ensure delivery of work packages and commercial targets.
