Key Responsibilities- Lead the nursing and AHP workforce in the Division, ensuring they are equipped to deliver excellent patient care and services.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes, reduce healthcare-associated infections, and promote a culture of safety and quality.
- Work closely with the Divisional Medical Director and Divisional Director of Operations to ensure that the Division's strategic objectives are met.
- Collaborate with other stakeholders, including the Chief Nurse, Chief AHP, and Deputy Chief Nurses, to ensure that the Division's nursing and AHP workforce is aligned with the Trust's strategic objectives.
- Develop and implement a robust system for monitoring and improving patient safety and quality.
- Lead the Division's response to complaints and serious untoward incidents, ensuring that action plans are implemented and monitored.
- Develop and implement a culture that encourages nursing and AHP staff to be innovative, creative, and challenging in the interests of patient care and professional practice.
The successful candidate will have:
- A nursing or AHP degree and relevant post-graduate qualifications or substantial equivalent experience.
- Significant experience at senior practitioner level, including strategy development, budgetary control, and clinical leadership.
- Evidence of high-level professional credibility and experience of implementing governance structures and risk management.
- Experience of partnership working, facilitating and leading organisational change, and managing high-level risk stratification.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence strategic direction and manage sensitive and contentious information with emotional intelligence.
- Ability to interpret complex information and adjust strategic plans, ensuring successful delivery of objectives within timescales.
- Critical thinking skills in data analysis and transformational leadership skills across a range of services.
- Compassionate and caring leadership skills, resulting in an empowered workforce.
- Ability to manage multiple complex transformational change projects and excellent time management skills.
- Able to motivate others and work well under pressure.
- Ability to participate in relevant on-call rotas.
