Grafton Recruitment is pleased to collaborate with a reputable Logistics firm in Hull that is in search of a skilled and knowledgeable Customs Specialist to become an integral part of their team, ensuring adherence to Customs regulations.


THE ROLE:

Key responsibilities as Customs Broker:
Ensure all import/export activities align with national and international customs laws, tariffs, and regulations.
Coordinate planned operations with Logistics, Plants, Warehouses, and Transportation Partners.
Prepare, review, and process essential customs documentation, including import/export declarations, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.
Comprehend customer needs, market conditions, and import/export requirements.

Collaborate with supply chain partners and third-party transportation providers to identify the most efficient method to fulfill customer orders.

Stay informed about updates in customs regulations, trade agreements, and industry developments.
Conduct due diligence activities related to the screening process of Third Parties, with the capability to check at the transactional level.
Identify import/export controls such as EUR1, GSP, ATR, COO, End Use, IPR, OPR, and Import/Export Licences relevant to the order and coordinate with the trade compliance team as necessary.
THE CANDIDATE:


You will possess a minimum of two years of experience managing all facets of Customs within the Logistics and Supply Chain sector.

Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail - Exceptional accuracy in managing documentation and compliance issues.
Exhibit strong communication skills.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in import and export.
Experience in formulating work procedures and written guidelines.
Ability to interpret and understand government regulations.
