EC&I Team Leader / Supervisor

Astute People are seeking an experienced EC&I Team Leader / Supervisor to join the maintenance department of a large Energy from Waste plant in Kent.

This plant can produce up to 45MW of Power by processing up to 550,000 tonnes of waste per year, usually destined for landfill.

The successful candidate will be involved in the planning and coordination of maintenance activities, managing contractors, supervising the workshop activities, and leading a team of EC&I Technicians & Craftsmen.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day management of short-term and preventative maintenance activities to ensure maximum plant availability.
  • Assist in the delivery of the overall maintenance and engineering strategy, implementing new maintenance techniques and approaches, and management of the EC&I budget.
  • Work alongside the Maintenance Planner and Mechanical Team Leader to ensure work is appropriately allocated and delivered, in addition to developing the site's CMMS.
  • Act as the EC&I lead during planned outages, manage specialist contractors on site, and ensure all activities are carried out in a safe manner and in line with company safety policies, safety rules, and relevant H&S legislation.

Requirements:

  • Proven supervisory/management experience from an Energy from Waste plant or similar Process Industry.
  • Experience in maintaining and working on a variety of instrumentation, electrical, and control system equipment.
  • Contract management experience.
  • Experience of maintenance techniques including vibration analysis, laser alignment, thermography, oil analysis, etc.
