We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our team at Benjamin Edwards. As a growing and thriving business, we offer a dynamic and supportive work environment that fosters professional growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Manage credit control processes, including chasing debt and escalating issues to management as needed.
- Support with fortnightly and monthly timesheets for payroll, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
- Assist the Financial Controller with ad hoc duties, providing administrative support as required.
- Resolve customer invoice queries in a timely and professional manner.
- Prepare VAT returns, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Process intercompany invoices and reconcile ledgers, maintaining accurate financial records.
- Prepare subcontractor weekly invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Excel is essential for this role, with the ability to analyze and manipulate data with ease.
- Experience with Xero is desired, but not required.
