Job Title: Chef - Hayling Island

Meadow Bay Villages is seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our team in Hayling Island, Hampshire.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • To undertake duties as set by the Head Chef or Management, ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen.
  • To actively contribute to the kitchen team, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • To prepare, cook, and present meals to the highest standards, adhering to the hotel's quality and presentation guidelines.
  • To work closely with Senior Chefs to ensure that all food served meets the hotel's standards.
  • To maintain accurate records of food deliveries and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • To ensure the safe and efficient operation of all kitchen equipment, adhering to the hotel's maintenance and cleaning schedules.
  • To be aware of and adhere to applicable hotel rules, regulations, legislation, and procedures, including national legislation (Health and Safety, COSHH, Data Protection).
  • To maintain confidentiality of information acquired in the course of undertaking duties for the hotel.
  • To be responsible for your own continuing self-development, undertaking training as appropriate.
  • To undertake other duties appropriate to the post as required.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Chef in a similar environment.
  • Excellent culinary skills and knowledge of food preparation and presentation.
  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a high level of quality and presentation.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and adhere to health and safety regulations.
