Blind Veterans UK is dedicated to assisting vision-impaired ex-service personnel in reclaiming their independence and enhancing their quality of life. With over a century of experience, we are committed to providing exceptional care and support to our veterans, ensuring they lead fulfilling lives.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Conduct regular patrols to ensure the safety and security of the premises.
- Monitor CCTV systems and respond to any incidents, coordinating with the on-call duty manager as necessary.
- Provide porter and housekeeping services, including event setup and maintaining cleanliness.
- Deliver outstanding customer service to all guests, assisting with administrative tasks and bookings.
- Respond to inquiries and ensure that all personal and accommodation needs are met.
- Occasionally support Day Team colleagues as needed.
- Oversee guest feedback and ensure efficient mail and delivery systems.
- Assist members with orientation within the centre.
Qualifications
To be successful in this position, you will need:
- A valid Security Industry Authority Badge.
- Strong customer service and administrative skills.
- Excellent communication abilities and a professional telephone manner.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems.
- GCSEs in English Language and Mathematics (Grade 4 / C).
