About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team at Birch Hill care Centre. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering person-centred care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality care to residents, promoting independence, dignity, and choice.
  • Assist residents with personal care needs, including dressing, undressing, bathing, and toileting.
  • Provide nutritional support, promoting choice and independence in meal times.
  • Engage in social interaction with residents, building strong relationships and promoting a sense of community.
  • Administer prescribed medications and homely remedies, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements.
  • Complete and update resident care plans, medical records, and other records as directed.
  • Participate in quality assurance programs, ensuring high standards of care are maintained.
  • Support residents to participate in activities and engagement opportunities, tailored to their abilities.
  • Act as a key worker for allocated residents, providing ongoing support and care.
Working Hours and Location

This role is based at Birch Hill care Centre, Berwick-upon-Tweed, and involves working 38.5 hours per week, with a 4,3,4 rolling week pattern.
