Job Opportunity

RecruitMe is seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to join their team. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for managing and controlling the purchase of goods, materials, and services for individual projects throughout the company.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering and procurement, with experience working for a manufacturing or engineering business. You will be responsible for negotiating contracts, improving prices, and terms of business with suppliers, as well as preparing purchase orders and interfacing with other departments and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Purchase goods, materials, components, or services in accordance with specified technical, quality, and delivery requirements
  • Negotiate contracts, improved prices, and terms of business with suppliers and review opportunities to make business savings
  • Prepare purchase orders in line with final negotiations with selected suppliers
  • Interface with other departments and suppliers for all matters related to the procurement of project materials, equipment, and sub-contract services
  • Provide procurement support for new designs and participate in bid reviews and evaluations

Requirements:

  • Well-established experience in buying/procurement in engineering/manufacturing
  • Possess strong knowledge on procuring technical equipment/materials
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, negotiate effectively, and coach other members of the team
  • Membership of Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS)
