Aerospace Technical Support Specialist

At Standard Aero, we're committed to building a career that's as unique as you are. As an Aerospace Technical Support Engineer, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the continued efficiency and safety of our aviation operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain detailed work instructions for the repair and overhaul of gas turbine engines and structural Nacelles, ensuring compliance with regulations and customer requirements.
- Manage work and inspection packages within our Enterprise Planning Resource (ERP) system.
- Collaborate with manufacturers to resolve technical issues and provide expert advice to customers.
- Support performance engineers with test performance analysis and troubleshooting.
- Review and implement Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, and changes to approved Source Information.
- Interpret and clarify instructions for continued airworthiness.
- Conduct Material Review Board activity to control product cost and quality.
- Develop and maintain unit build standards and engineering bills of materials.
- Provide technical support and advice to customers, including reports on product serviceability, repair summaries, warranty, and failure analysis.
- Support the implementation of authorized repair schemes.
- Manage parts master data within our ERP system.
- Collaborate with logistics to ensure part configuration management for repaired or exchanged parts.
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities within the business.
- Ensure non-conforming products and processes are addressed in line with company timelines.
- Recognized Aerospace Engineering qualification.
- Experience in an aerospace repair organization.
- Awareness of regulations and regulatory requirements in the aerospace industry.
- Strong planning, organizational, analytical, decision-making, oral, and written communication skills.
- Ability to provide expert advice and technical report writing.
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings, manuals, and technical instructions.
- Working knowledge of gas turbine engine and/or accessory theory and performance analysis.
- Thorough understanding of manufacturing methods, shop equipment, and machining processes.
- Working knowledge of MRO ERP systems, Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access software.
