Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Coordinator to join our team at Crane Worldwide Logistics. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth movement of cargo throughout the world.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, customs, and agents to ensure timely and efficient cargo movement.
  • Prepare and process export, import, and customs clearance documents in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and maintain accurate billing and cost information in our Transportation Management System (TMS) to ensure accurate invoicing and job costing.
  • Communicate with customers regarding cargo status, tracking, and tracing, as well as provide rate quotations and routing information.
  • Collaborate with other Crane Worldwide Logistics branches and agents to ensure excellent customer service and satisfaction.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities and optimize shipment routes to meet customer requirements.
  • Monitor and maintain compliance with company and industry policies, as well as adhere to key performance indicators (KPIs) such as DNI, LNR, cost accuracy, and ROTP.
  • Stay up-to-date with UK import/export operations and regulations, as well as AOG and Time Critical Services.

Requirements

  • Strong working knowledge of import/export regulations, governance, and documentation preparation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, customs, and agents.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and processes.

Physical Requirements

  • Talking, hearing, and using hands to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other computer components.
  • Sitting for extended periods of time, with occasional walking and inspecting of freight.
  • Close vision and ability to adjust focus.
