Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team on an outside IR35 contract basis. The successful candidate will have a strong background in managing projects in commercial, industrial, infrastructure, and hotel sectors, with a minimum of 7 years of experience.
Key Responsibilities- Project Planning & Management: Lead the planning, scheduling, and budgeting of projects to ensure they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Support to Head of Project Management: Act as 2iC, supporting the Head of Project Management with project oversight, team management, and strategic input.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, consultants, and internal teams to ensure project goals are met.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify and manage risks, implementing mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with industry standards, health & safety regulations, and company policies across all project stages.
- Resource Coordination: Oversee internal and external resources, including contractors and third-party vendors, to ensure optimal project performance.
- Reporting & Documentation: Prepare detailed project reports, maintain comprehensive documentation, and communicate project status to senior management.
- Travel & On-Site Supervision: Engage in structured international travel to monitor project progress, with planned and brief visits as required.
- 7+ Years' Experience: Proven experience in project management within the buildings or infrastructure sectors, with exposure to commercial, industrial, infrastructure, and hotel projects.
- UK-Based Experience: Familiarity with UK construction regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
- Project Management Expertise: In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP) and tools.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead project teams, make informed decisions, and manage competing project priorities.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction, design, and contract administration.
- Client-Facing Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships.
- Problem-Solving Ability: Analytical and proactive in identifying and resolving project challenges.
- Willingness to Travel: Flexibility to travel globally for short, structured periods.
- Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as RICS, CIOB, or APM are highly desirable.
- Experience working on large-scale, international projects.
- Competitive Rate: Up to £50 per hour.
