Job Summary:

The Head of Facilities Manager will be responsible for managing all facilities operations across multiple sites, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations and strategic planning for future growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee all facilities operations, including hard and soft services, across multiple sites.
  • Negotiate and manage services contracts with external suppliers.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive facilities management strategy, aligning with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the company's space strategy, ensuring optimal use of resources.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and business continuity strategies.
  • Liaise with external contractors and suppliers, including those for construction, building services engineering, cleaning contracts, waste management, security, and relocation services.

Requirements:

  • Education: Degree level in a building services or engineering subject, or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Experience: Significant experience in managing technical managers and supervisors responsible for a wide range of hard and soft services, preferably in a lab environment.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of technical infrastructure, including HVAC and BMS systems.
  • Financial Management: Experience in setting and managing operational budgets over £1 million.
