Financial Director

Artemis Human Capital is delighted to partner with a rapidly expanding construction business in search of a skilled Financial Controller to assume a pivotal role within the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, as well as the development of internal policies and procedures.
The Role:- Day-to-day management of the finance function, ensuring seamless operations and efficient financial processes.
- Preparation of monthly management accounts, highlighting key issues and providing actionable recommendations.
- Creation of monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts, enabling data-driven decision-making.
- Cash flow management, ensuring the company's financial stability and liquidity.
- Preparation of monthly board packs and commentary, providing timely and accurate financial information to stakeholders.
- Identification of improvements for accounting systems and processes, enhancing the company's financial efficiency.
- Business partnering with wider business areas, fostering collaboration and driving business growth.
- Reporting to the MD with timely and accurate financial information, including an understanding of WIP.
- Analysis of operational costs and identification of areas for improvement, optimizing the company's financial performance.
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with a strong understanding of financial management principles.
- Previous experience within construction, engineering, or manufacturing is essential, with a proven track record of success.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with the wider business and present financial information to board level.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting, with the ability to analyze and optimize financial performance.
- Competitive salary up to £65K.
