Financial Director

Artemis Human Capital is delighted to partner with a rapidly expanding construction business in search of a skilled Financial Controller to play a pivotal role within the organization.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, and the development of internal policies and procedures.
This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced and ambitious finance professional to progress to a Finance Director position within 18-24 months.
The Role:- Day-to-day management of the finance function
- Preparation of monthly management accounts highlighting key issues and making recommendations
- Creation of monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts
- Cash flow management
- Preparation of monthly board packs and commentary
- Identification of improvements for accounting systems and processes
- Business partnering with wider business areas
- Reporting to the MD with timely and accurate financial information, including an understanding of WIP
- Analysis of operational costs and identification of areas for improvement
- Performance of month-end and year-end close activities
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Previous experience within construction, engineering, or manufacturing is ESSENTIAL
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with the wider business
- Strong understanding of cost accounting
- Ability to present financial information to board level
- Up to £65K
- Clear progression to Finance Director
- Hybrid working
