A prominent client in the Public Sector is seeking a Procurement Specialist to enhance their team.
Position Type
This is a full-time, contract role with ongoing opportunities for the right candidate, who should possess experience in the public sector, particularly within Planning and Economic Development.
Role Objectives
The primary aim of this position is to significantly impact the economic growth of the Council by overseeing the execution of major projects and services that are under contract or in the construction phase.
Key Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting the Economic Development, Regeneration, and UKSPF Programme Manager in the formulation, management, and execution of the service's essential objectives and tasks.
- Managing projects on a daily basis from initiation through to planning, design, execution, monitoring, control, and project closure.
- Ensuring that all major projects contracted by the Council are delivered according to specifications, effectively managed, and implemented as per the contractual agreements.
Candidate Profile
To qualify for this position, candidates must have prior experience in a similar capacity.
Essential Knowledge and Skills
It is crucial to possess a comprehensive understanding of the following:
- Leading project delivery, investment initiatives, and ensuring projects and programs reach their financial and physical completion.
- Overseeing Town Centre Management activities, projects, and initiatives aimed at enhancing the vitality and economic health of the Borough's key towns and retail hubs.
Compensation
The client is offering a competitive rate of £450 per day Umbrella Ltd.
