Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Events and Programme Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Community team, you will be responsible for designing and delivering an exciting and relevant events programme for our members. This includes planning, coordinating, and delivering events that meet our members' needs and exceed their expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Event Ownership: Own Huckletree's member events programme, ensuring that events are planned and scheduled two months in advance. Manage the coordination and delivery of member events within our Hubs and virtually to achieve desired targets and objectives.
  • Build Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with Members and Community Teams during coordination, execution, and evaluation stages of events, developing meaningful connections to build trust and grow the reputation of Huckletree's events programme.
  • Manage Speaker / Host Pipeline: Research, outreach, and manage third parties (including ambassadors, external experts, coaches, and speakers) who deliver our events. Supply full briefings and deliver a seamless experience for all involved.
  • Drive our Profile: Work closely with our Marketing team to build the profile of Huckletree and reputation of our events offering. Ensure promotional content builds excitement and reaches target members (internally) and key audiences (externally).
  • Create Impact: Demonstrate the value of our events and achieve tangible outcomes for members who participate. e.g., knowledge building, skills development, happiness of teams, and new introductions and connections via our events programme.
  • Team Training: Share key event information and communicate the purpose and value of our monthly events schedule to colleagues with the goal of driving awareness, reputation, and uptake amongst members.
  • Insights & Reporting: Capture insights and data - including attendance, sentiment, and feedback - and develop in-depth knowledge of our member base, presenting back to internal stakeholders, suggesting fresh concepts and programme developments to keep us driving forwards.
  • Budget Management: Forecasting, managing, and negotiating expenditure for each event to ensure it is delivered within budget. This also includes invoice management.
  • External Events Support: Work alongside our Events Sales team to support coordination of event bookings to ensure consistency and alignment across the business.
Requirements
  • Experience in events management, with a solid understanding of event strategy, design, and engagement.
  • Project management skills, with the ability to own the end-to-end process of event planning and delivery.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with members, community teams, and external partners.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Able to problem-solve and think creatively, with a proactive approach to event planning and delivery.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
