Logistics Operations Specialist - CVS Group Plc
CVS Group Plc is a prominent player in the veterinary services sector, recognized for its commitment to providing high-quality pet care products and services. As the company continues to expand its operations, we are seeking a dedicated Logistics Operations Specialist to join our dynamic team.
The Logistics Operations Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting the Supply Chain Manager. This position involves overseeing product availability, ensuring a seamless supply chain process, and mitigating the risk of stock shortages. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in logistics management, exceptional organizational abilities, and advanced proficiency in data analysis tools.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
Monitor stock levels to guarantee that products are consistently available for distribution. Collaborate with suppliers and internal departments to manage lead times and delivery schedules effectively. Proactively identify and address potential inventory challenges. Foster relationships and communicate with various teams. Work closely with logistics and customer service to ensure timely product availability and delivery to meet client needs.Supplier Engagement:
Develop and maintain strong partnerships with suppliers to ensure reliable and prompt product delivery. Address any supplier-related issues swiftly and effectively.Order Processing:
Accurately place purchase orders with suppliers in a timely manner. Track and manage purchase orders from initiation to delivery. Maintain precise records of all transactions and communications with suppliers.Data Management and Reporting:
Utilize data analysis tools to assess inventory data and generate insightful reports. Create and maintain comprehensive spreadsheets to monitor inventory metrics. Present data-driven insights and recommendations to senior management. Generate discrepancy reports for received goods.Required Skills and Experience:
Proficient in data analysis tools, particularly Excel. Ability to communicate effectively between internal teams and external partners. Minimum of 1 year of experience in a purchasing role within a supply chain environment. Ideally, experience or knowledge in fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) procurement. At least 2 years of experience using warehouse management systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. Proven experience in cross-departmental collaboration. Demonstrated ability to manage external relationships confidently and competently.
