Role Overview
As the Logistics Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our distribution centre. You will be responsible for managing a team of warehouse and pharmacy operatives, overseeing stock control, and maintaining compliance with Good Distribution Practice (GDP) regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage a team of warehouse and pharmacy operatives, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure optimal performance.
- Implement and maintain robust stock control procedures, including cycle counting and inventory management, to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Oversee the daily operations of the distribution centre, ensuring adherence to GDP regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Health & Safety, HR, and other departments to ensure compliance and operational effectiveness.
- Identify areas for improvement in warehouse processes and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Proven experience in a high-volume logistics environment, with a strong understanding of warehouse operations and stock control systems.
- Excellent people management skills, with the ability to motivate, lead, and develop a team of operatives.
- In-depth knowledge of GDP regulations and documented procedures related to pharmaceutical distribution.
- Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), particularly JDA.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
