Head of Residential Conveyancing (Solicitor) £75 - £90k doe, Hybrid Role

Our client, a prominent regional law firm recognized in legal directories such as Chambers and the Legal 500, is seeking a seasoned solicitor to lead their esteemed Residential Conveyancing practice. This role is ideal for a senior solicitor, Partner, or Director with a strong background in managing teams and overseeing departmental operations.

Position Overview

In this capacity, you will work closely with other Partners to enhance the practice and stimulate business growth through strategic marketing and development initiatives. Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the Residential Conveyancing department, which includes 1 Director, 1 Senior Associate Solicitor, 1 Associate Solicitor, and 5 Paralegals.
  • Managing intricate residential property transactions, encompassing sales and purchases of both freehold and leasehold properties, re-mortgages, transfers of equity, lease extensions, and new build acquisitions.
  • Formulating and executing growth strategies.
  • Establishing and nurturing business relationships to broaden service offerings.
  • Supervising budget creation and oversight.
  • Leveraging technology to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Promoting the firm's comprehensive legal services to external stakeholders.
  • Staying informed on competitive trends within the industry and adapting service delivery accordingly.
  • Fostering internal relationships for cross-selling opportunities.

Candidate Profile

  • A qualified solicitor with a minimum of 8 years of post-qualification experience in residential conveyancing.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience is essential.
  • Ambitious and motivated individual.
  • Strong capabilities in team leadership and management.
  • Proven track record in budget management and handling complex property transactions.
  • Successful involvement in business development activities.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Able to meet tight deadlines while delivering superior client service.
