Head of Residential Conveyancing (Solicitor) £75 - £90k doe, Hybrid Working

Our client, a prominent regional law firm recognized in Chambers and the Legal 500, boasts a well-established Conveyancing practice specializing in high-net-worth property transactions. They are seeking a seasoned senior solicitor, Partner, or Director with a track record of team leadership and departmental management.

This position presents an exceptional opportunity for a senior associate aiming to elevate their career or for an existing Partner, Director, or Head of Department to take charge of a thriving practice and further enhance the department's growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the Residential Conveyancing department, which includes 1 Director, 1 Senior Associate Solicitor, 1 Associate Solicitor, and 5 Paralegals.
  • Manage intricate residential property transactions, encompassing sales and purchases of both freehold and leasehold properties, re-mortgages, equity transfers, lease extensions, and new build acquisitions.
  • Formulate and execute growth strategies.
  • Establish and nurture business relationships to broaden service offerings.
  • Supervise budget preparation and financial management.
  • Leverage internet-based service delivery and other e-business technologies to enhance efficiency and client satisfaction.
  • Promote the firm's comprehensive legal services to agents and other stakeholders.
  • Stay informed on competitive dynamics within the sector and adapt service delivery as necessary.
  • Foster internal stakeholder relationships for cross-selling opportunities.

Candidate Requirements:

  • A qualified solicitor with over 8 years of post-qualification experience in residential conveyancing.
  • Demonstrated experience in team leadership is essential.
  • Ambitious and results-oriented.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and navigate complex property matters.
  • Successful track record in business development activities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines while delivering high-quality client service.
