The RoleWe are seeking a Senior Project Manager to drive the delivery of software development and tech-led improvement projects in our Technology department. As a key member of our team, you will define project objectives, collaborate with Product Managers and Lead Developers, and ensure business alignment for technical deliveries. Your work will support our mission to enhance digital utility solutions for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs).
Key Responsibilities- Lead the delivery of Software Development and Tech-led Continuous Improvement projects.
- Define project objectives and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Collaborate with Product Managers to transform complex technical requirements into clear, actionable project plans and results.
- Work with other departments to ensure business alignment and preparedness for technical deliveries.
- Create and maintain project documentation, including detailed project timelines and RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) management.
- Manage the involvement of internal and external stakeholders, ensuring smooth project execution.
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to facilitate business approval for live software releases.
- Prepare project communications plans, ensuring effective stakeholder engagement.
- Provide guidance on project principles and governance, offering instruction and advice to business areas/teams where required.
- Proven working experience in project management, with a professional project management qualification (Prince 2, Agile PM, APM, etc).
- Excellent external and internal communication skills, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Very strong organisational skills, including attention to detail and multi-tasking.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and project delivery life cycle.
- Experience with project management software tools, e.g.
- Knowledge of Agile principles (desired but not essential).
