We are excited to present an opportunity with our client, a leading global organization in the private sector, who is currently seeking an Employee Relations Specialist (on-site). This role is offered as a six-month contract with the possibility of transitioning into a permanent position.
The successful candidate will be expected to commence work immediately on a full-time basis. The hourly rate is negotiable, with a fixed-term salary ranging from £35,000 to £40,000 per annum (pro rata and also negotiable).
The ideal applicant will possess substantial employee relations expertise and the capability to quickly adapt to the role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Offering guidance and support to management and staff on various employee relations issues, including performance management, disciplinary actions, absence management, and flexible working arrangements.
- Conducting thorough investigations, hearings, and appeals in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures, ensuring fairness and consistency throughout.
- Assisting in the implementation of the Absence Management policy by coaching line managers on necessary actions.
- Preparing and drafting correspondence, reports, and other documentation pertinent to employee relations cases.
- Assisting in the establishment of an Employee Relations database and monitoring trends and data to identify areas for enhancement, while providing recommendations to the People Relations Manager.
- Designing and delivering training and coaching sessions for managers and employees on employee relations topics.
- Contributing to the review and revision of employee relations policies and procedures to ensure compliance with employment law and best practices.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Significant experience in Employee Relations is essential.
- Proven track record in managing Employee Relations casework and investigations (low to medium risk).
- CIPD level 5 qualification is desirable.
